From a long time ago I have wanted to do so, as I have never been to the zoo; When I was young, even though I wished to go to the zoo, but my parents were always busy and I didn’t have the chance to go to the zoo. I was really lucky, today finally I went to the zoo. XXX brought us there, we left (the dorm) at 2pm, it was very hot but I was fine with it. XXX drove us to the zoo. I was very thankful to him. Once we reached, I felt very happy: the smell (at the zoo) was much better than I had expected: if it had been really smelly I would have been very uncomfortable. Furthermore, the entrance tickets were very cheap! The entrance fee was $60, XX paid the money, thank you.
The first thing we saw were the flamingoes. As I had only seen them in books, I felt that they were very intriguing. I most wanted to see the giraffes, tigers and monkeys. To go up, we took the tram. At the upper part, we saw creepy-crawlies, tortoises, horses, penguins etc. The penguins were really cute, the way they walked was exactly as I had imagined. While we were walking downwards, we saw a lot of animals. In Thailand I had seen elephants, so I was not marvelled by them. We were a little hungry and ate ice-cream. It was nice, but melted too fast.
Suddenly, we saw the giraffes, and I was so touched that I almost cried. I think giraffes are really beautiful. We took a lot of photographs, and afterwards I wanted to buy a congratulatory gift (for himself because he met the giraffes ;w;). The souvenir shop had many dolls (plushies), I bought two giraffe plushies, one was big and one was small. Although I was rather worried, but I must bring the giraffes back to Korea.
